Our Purpose
ADKDSTAR organization strives to assist Adirondack Communities of New York State in times of disaster and prosperity.
ADKDSTAR volunteers host a Digital Communication Platform which allow multiple forms of Data Communication to be sent using one frequency and one radio.
We are here for Church, School, Race Events, Red Cross, Fire, Police, EMS, DEC Search and Rescue and ARES/RACES.
What we've done
To date ADKDSTAR.ORG created a wide area network of Internet connected Simplex Radio Repeaters and Repeaters covering a portion of the Adirondack Park from Rt 87 Exit 17 North to Plattsburg and surounding ares near Burlington and Stowe, VT.
We are currently expanding our coverage as citizens "HOST" their locations as HotSpots for our network.
